The ONE Thing
According to Gary Keller and Jay Papasan in The ONE Thing, success leaves clues. These clues can lead to clarity, and according to Dianna Kokoszka, “Clarity is Power” (BOLD Law). What we need to get clarity around quickly in your business is the things that can keep you from having a breakthrough. No matter the success or level of production you are experiencing today, The ONE Thing identifies four thieves that await you at every corner.

(1) Inability to Say “No”. How often do you over commit both in business and life? When you over commit, what is compromised? Could what you are compromising be impacting the relationships around you? May you be missing business opportunities because you are unable to focus only on that which is most important in your business?

(2) Fear of Chaos. Did you know when you focus on the thing that is most important in your business, lead generation, that the world doesn’t stop and wait on you? When you focus on ONE Thing, messes will accumulate, disorder will exist, there may be unrest, and these things will happen on the path to extraordinary results. When you strive for great success, it is inevitable that chaos will show up in your business.

(3) Poor Health Habits. Are you exercising? Are you eating right? Aiming for extraordinary results requires a commitment of energy. What would your business look like if you got 8 hours of sleep each night? Make sure you are taking care of yourself. If you are not taking care of yourself, are you truly capable of giving your best to your customers and clients? Something to think about.

(4) Environment Doesn’t Support Your Goals. What environment are you choosing to do lead generation in a daily basis? Does this environment allow you to stay focused on the most important task in your business? Do people you surround yourself with support and respect your goals? Where I see most agents challenged is the environment they create around them when doing business. Is your environment moving you forward in your business, or is your environment prohibiting you from achieving your goals? These are critical questions you should be asking yourself about your business.

So now that you have clarity around the four thieves of productivity. It is time to take action. Only then will you get the results that you desire. The only person that can change the direction of your business is you, and that can start by making the decision today to address the four thieves of productivity.

Be successful, and always seek growth.
Onward,
Jeremy Williams, Assistant Team Leader / Productivity Coach
